Surgery Helps Buster Survive Painful Condition

Buster has one of those noses begging to be booped. If only he felt better!

This shy boy has a history of urinary issues. His boy plumbing just hasn't been working right.

A handsome five-year-old, Buster has experienced a lot of upheaval in his life. He came to Purrfect Pals in March from a veterinary clinic where he had been taken for treatment. His people were overwhelmed by the cost and extent of his medical issues and wanted him to find the pain free life they felt he deserved.

Our veterinarian has treated him for blockages four times since he arrived. When it happened for the fifth time, our veterinary team knew that he needed more help than medication could provide.

Surgery was the only answer to clear the blockage issues permanently. He received the surgery (at a cost of $2571 with our shelter discount) last week and is recuperating. His ongoing treatment includes antibacterial medication, pain relief and a drug to curb spasms of the urethra.In addition to his medications, Buster requires a special prescription diet for cats with urinary tract issues. The costs are adding up as he recovers in our clinic.
