One of our HVAC units for the Upper D Building is failing—specifically, the compressor is grinding, and the air conditioning unit is no longer working properly. Temperatures in the building reached over 80 degrees last weekend! Luckily our dedicated staff members brought in their personal fans and portable AC units for the cat rooms, but with summer just getting started, we’re deeply concerned for the well-being of the cats in our care.
We need to replace this HVAC unit as soon as possible before it fails completely to ensure our kitties stay cool during the summer and warm through the winter months. This system is vital to maintaining a healthy, climate-controlled environment for dozens of vulnerable cats—many of whom are seniors and cats with special medical needs.
