Havarti loves to play with wands, crinkle balls and chase the laser red dot. She is curious and explores her domain as our upstairs office cat in the adoption center and administration building. She came to Purrfect Pals from a small shelter who did not have the space, time or resources to continue her care. You see, she has frequent, recurrent urinary tract infections and fecal incontinence due to a birth defect -- no spincter muscles around her anus. We have booked an appointment with a feline specialist to determine if she is a candidate for corrective surgery and to develop the best treatment plan to provide her a second chance for a happy and healthy life. Havarti is 18 months old, making her an ideal candidate for corrective surgery. You can help Havarti and our other special needs kitties like William, an older boy with a heart murmur, one of five awaiting a workup with the feline heart specialist when she visits the shelter later this month. Your donation to our Tipper Fund covers the extra expense incurred for appointments with veterinary specialists, surgeries and medications.
